Pandora's Box created a fireplace portal in the Lucas Room of Bell House. 

Based on Hesiod's story of how Zeus fashioned a beautiful young maiden from clay to wreak havoc on men in revenge for Prometheus stealing Fire from the Gods, my Pandora’s box portal seeks to offer a retribution for Pandora. 

The wood fired clay clam and rattles in the fireplace made from fire, water, earth and air represent female as Mother Earth, creator of life and death, over the often portrayed image of female sexuality being the cause of all men’s ills and mortality as through Pandora.
